During the first days of February 2010, Michael Milken – legendary financier and philanthropist – made his first-ever visit to Moscow following Troika Dialog’s invitation to speak at The Russia Forum, which the company organized.
On February 3rd, the first day of events at the Forum, Mr. Milken acted as moderator of the session titled “Global Companies: New Challenges and Possible Innovations,” speaking about his vision of the new world economic model from the standpoint of corporate management. In addition, Mr. Milken responded to a number of questions relevant to global CEOs regarding possibilities for attracting financing in today’s economic conditions. On the following day, February 4th, Michael Milken participated as a speaker during two sessions. During one session – “Entrepreneurship: Russia Reality and Foreign Flavor” – Mr. Milken proposed his own recipes for success in the spheres of business and charity. During the second session – “Investment Climate in Russia: Ways of Making it Better” – Michael Milken spoke about the factors that make Russia an attractive investment target and what must be done in order to attract long-term investments. The second day of events at The Russia Forum ended with a speech by Mr. Milken in which he shared with speakers and delegates his vision of the greatest challenges facing the world economy and offered a number of answers to them. In addition, Michael Milken gave a number of interviews during The Russia Forum to Russian and foreign media. Two of the interviews – an interview with Interfax news agency and Vedomosti daily are available on the Forum site.
