Mr Rolet joined the group’s Board and became CEO in 2009.
Prior to joining the London Stock Exchange, since 2007 Mr Rolet was CEO of Lehman Brothers in France. He was appointed a member of the company’s European Operating Committee in 2003, having joined the firm in February 2000 in New York as deputy co-head of Global Equity Trading.
Also a former member of the European Securities Markets Expert Group of the European Commission and of the French Government’s Strategic Council for Attractiveness.
Started his career on the International Arbitrage desk at Goldman Sachs in New York in 1984. In 1990, he was promoted to co-head of European Equity Sales and Trading at Goldman Sachs International Limited and moved to London. Mr Rolet joined Credit Suisse First Boston in 1994 as global head of European Equities before moving to Dresdner Kleinwort Benson as global head of Risk and Trading, and deputy head of Global Equities in 1997.
Graduated from Columbia University Graduate School of Business, where he gained an MBA, and the Institut des Hautes Etudes de Defense Nationale in Paris.
