Dean, Moscow School of Management SKOLKOVO
In January 2008, Wilfried Vanhonacker became Dean of SKOLKOVO, a newly-established and privately-funded business school in Moscow that aims to grow entrepreneurial leaders for fast-moving economies and to become the knowledge center on leading and managing change in fast-moving economies.
Professor Vanhonacker is recognized worldwide as a leading scholar in the field of marketing science and an expert on doing business in China and the globalization of Chinese enterprises. He played a key role in creating and establishing the China-Europe International Business School (CEIBS) in Shanghai, of which he was Dean and Vice President.
Professor Vanhonacker has been on the faculty of the Graduate School of Business at Columbia University (New York, US), INSEAD (Fontainebleau, France), and HKUST Business School (Hong Kong). He gained a PhD in Management from Purdue University (Indiana, US) in 1979.
