Daniel Yergin

Dr. Daniel Yergin is Chairman of Cambridge Energy Research Associates, an international consulting and advisory firm with offices in Cambridge (Massachusetts), Washington, DC, Oakland (California), Paris, Oslo, Moscow, Buenos Aires, Mexico City, Hong Kong and Calgary. He is a highly respected authority on international politics, economics and energy and serves on the Board of the United States Energy Association.

Dr. Yergin received the 1992 Pulitzer Prize for General Nonfiction for his work The Prize: The Epic Quest for Oil, Money and Power, which became a No 1 national best seller in the US. His book, Russia 2010 and What It Means for the World, coauthored with Thane Gustafson, depicts the turmoil in Russia’s move to a market economy.

Dr. Yergin holds a BA from Yale University and a Ph.D. from Cambridge University.
