Group Chief Economist and Vice President, BP
Christof Ruehl is Group Chief Economist and Vice President of BP, where he manages the company’s global economics team. He joined BP in 2005.
From 1998 to 2005, he was at the World Bank, where from 2001 to 2005 he served as the Bank’s
Chief Economist in Russia and, later, Brazil. Before that, he worked in the Office of the Chief Economist at the EBRD (from 1996).
His area of specialization is macroeconomics and energy economics, and he has published widely in these fields.
