Anders Aslund

Senior Fellow, Peterson Institute for International Economics

Dr. Aslund is a leading specialist on post-communist economic transformation with more than 30 years of experience in the field. He has worked as an economic adviser to the Russian, Ukrainian, and Kyrgyz governments.

Previously, he was Director of the Russian and Eurasian Program at the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace. He was also the founding director of the Stockholm Institute of Transition Economics and professor at the Stockholm School of Economics. Dr. Aslund has served as a Swedish diplomat in Moscow, Geneva and Kuwait. He earned his doctorate from the University of Oxford.
